Segment 1 Course
Our Segment 1 course is tailored for students aged 14 years and 8 months and older. This comprehensive program includes classroom instruction and on-the-road training to ensure new drivers gain the knowledge and skills they need to drive safely.
Requirements:
Minimum age: 14 years and 8 months
Parent/guardian must sign the application
Course fee: $400 (payment plan available)
Course Information:
Duration: 3 weeks
Schedule: 4 days a week, 2 hours a day from 4pm-8pm or 6-8pm
Includes 6 hours of on-the-road training
At the end of the course, students will take a 80 question, written test. Upon passing, they will receive a certificate allowing them to obtain their permit from the Secretary of State.
Segment 2 Course
Our Segment 2 course is designed for students who have successfully completed Segment 1 and held their Level One Graduated driver license (permit) for at least 3 months. This course provides advanced instruction to help students further develop their driving skills and prepare for the road test.
Requirements:
Must have held their permit for at least 3 months
Must be under the age of 18
Parent/guardian must sign the application
Course Information:
Duration: 3 days
Schedule: 2 hours a day from 4-6pm
Upon passing the written test, students will receive their Segment 2 certificate, which is not required to be taken to the Secretary of State.
Additional Information:
Students must have held their permit for at least 6 months to take the road test.
